A dog that knows hes a dog. Thats how one of the staff members describes Simon, a Labrador retriever and Dalmatian mix. Simon was found running down the street near the downtown Waco library, and has since spent the majority of his life at Fuzzy Friends. Now eight-years-old, Simon has been in and out of the rescue since he was one year old. Hes been adopted and returned seven times, making him the most tried on pair of shoes at Fuzzy Friends. He loves to play, and wont pass up an opportunity to jump into a kiddie pool or challenge you in tug-o-war. As much as he loves to be outside, Simon is an indoor dog, through and through. Sadly, Simon isnt a fan of cats or small children, and can only tolerate other dogs for a short amount of time. However, he is great with people and absolutely adores them. Good on a leash, hed make an adult a wonderful running or walking partner. Word of caution: Dont even think about sneaking up on Simon, youll both regret it. He doesnt like surprises, and has been known to bite when startled. Perhaps he even has a little hearing loss which could explain why he gets so startled to see someone so close, particularly after a rest or nap.
